Senior ERP Functional Consultant — Technical Background
Shenzhen,
China
Who we are
Majorbird is an Odoo Silver Partner (since 2020), founded by a Chinese-French team and headquartered in Nanshan, Shenzhen. We are an international team of 17 people across offices in Hong Kong, China, Vietnam and Mexico. We have delivered 100+ ERP projects and specialize in the complex, multi-company, multi-currency and cross-border implementations that most partners shy away from — across Asia-Pacific, the Middle East and Latin America.
We are technical, product-minded and on the edge: deeply involved in advanced technologies and a real understanding of how businesses run. We like to say that ERP is the best business school for the modern time — with us you see how real companies operate (finance, supply chain, manufacturing, sales) and you learn to make them better.
The role — Senior ERP Functional Consultant (Technical Background)
You lead client missions from analysis to go-live, own the functional solution and mentor junior consultants — scoping projects, designing the Odoo setup and driving delivery. A project here is not just “installing a system”; it is rebuilding the nervous system of a company's cross-border operations.
What you'll do
- Project delivery (70%): lead full-scope Odoo implementations (finance + supply chain + manufacturing) for manufacturing and trading clients, as project manager or lead consultant — owning scope, schedule and risk.
- Run requirements analysis, blueprint design and go-live cutover for cross-border, multi-entity scenarios — including multi-currency consolidation and localized compliance (Vietnam e-invoicing, Mexico CFDI, Saudi Arabia ZATCA e-invoicing, EU VAT).
- Author and lead reviews of the Business Blueprint, Test Plan and Go-Live Cutover Plan — deliverable and reusable.
- Client & ecosystem (20%): work directly with client CFOs, supply-chain directors and overseas-subsidiary leads, turning business pain into system solutions; coordinate developers and local compliance partners.
- Team & knowledge (10%): mentor 1–2 junior consultants and build reusable configuration standards and documentation.
Must-have
- 3+ years of ERP implementation experience, including at least 1 year on Odoo (or 2+ years on SAP / Oracle / NetSuite with a strong willingness to learn Odoo), with a technical background.
- Strong grasp of technical topics; a track record of delivery and client-facing work.
- Leadership and mentoring ability.
- Fluent English (CET-6 / IELTS 6.5+), able to chair multi-national client meetings as a working language.
- Written English is mandatory.
- Spoken English is required — you will work directly with international clients.
Nice-to-have
- Cross-border, multi-entity ERP delivery (legal entities in 2+ countries/regions at once).
- CPA, CMA, PMP or Odoo Functional Consultant certification (OCA).
- Familiarity with China ODI (outbound investment) compliance, or Vietnam / Mexico local tax and trade-settlement processes.
- Mandarin or Cantonese; industry expertise (manufacturing, retail, trading).
What's great about this role
- See projects end to end and own real impact — not a tiny slice of a giant machine.
- Work on genuinely complex, multi-company / multi-currency systems, not cookie-cutter setups.
- Grow fast with senior mentoring and a clear path from Junior → Senior → Lead.
- Join an international team that is technical, fair and in it for the long term.
What we offer
- Salary: 12,000–25,000 CNY/month, based on experience.
- Project bonus — accrued quarterly on the collections of the projects you help deliver.
- Pre-sales / signing commission — a share of the deals you help demo and close.
- Sponsored Odoo certification — exam fees fully reimbursed — plus ongoing training.
- Annual leave: 5 days after your first year, +1 day per year up to 15 days.
- One extra paid day off at Christmas (part of our Chinese-French team culture).
- Shenzhen tier-1 social insurance & housing fund (五险一金).
- Quarterly team-building, holiday gift boxes and a birthday gift.
- Company-provided equipment.
- On-site at our Shenzhen office, with occasional travel to client sites (within Guangdong, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Mexico and the Middle East).
How we work
- We respect our people, so they respect the company. We are fair and we build for the long term.
- We are not a body shop — a product-minded partner that treats Odoo as a living system, with radical transparency and no hidden agendas.
- You join a small, senior, international team where your work is visible and your growth is real.
